Good morning, Helen. I’ve been looking into your vaccinations this week, and I think I’ve found something worth a closer look.

What’s really behind growth and retention
Less work for you. More thinking from Linda.
Linda isn’t another piece of software you have to learn.
She works with the information your practice already records in your PMS. There are no reports to build, no dashboards to study and no clever questions to think up. You don’t need to understand analytics.
Instead, Linda does the investigating herself. She doesn’t wait to be asked. Every week she looks into what’s happening across your practice and sends you a short, useful briefing: what’s going well, what might need attention and where there could be opportunities worth exploring.
Five minutes over a coffee is usually enough. And if something catches your interest, you can take a closer look whenever you like.

A valuable briefing delivered every week

“It’s business advice that comes to you, rather than something you have to go looking for.”
A second opinion when you need one.
You ask
“Are we on track this year?”
Yes. Turnover is 11% ahead of last year. Most of that growth is coming from existing clients returning more often, rather than a one-off price change.
You ask
“Was the dental promotion worth it?”
It looks like it was. Dental bookings are up 58% since the campaign began, with the strongest uplift in the weeks where it ran.
You ask
“Have we made the right call?”
The early signs are encouraging. Here is what has changed, what is working and what I would keep an eye on.
Illustrative examples.
Imagine what Linda might find.
You’ve been running your practice for years. But what if a small change could be worth thousands of pounds a year?
What if some of your most loyal clients were quietly drifting away?
What if a service you’ve barely thought about was doing brilliantly?
What if your growing turnover wasn’t quite down to what you thought?
Linda looks for opportunities to bring in more revenue, keep more clients coming back and make better use of what’s already working in your practice. Sometimes even a small discovery could make a meaningful difference to your business.
Dashboards show you numbers. Linda explains what they mean, and what your practice in particular could benefit from.

You won’t necessarily know what Linda is going to find. That’s kind of the point.
Look what Linda noticed.
Here are a few of the kinds of things Linda might bring you. Each one is the sort of discovery that’s easy to miss when you’re busy running a practice.

640 lapsed
“I’ve been looking at your vaccinations. Over the last twelve months, 640 dogs and cats who were up to date the year before have missed their annual booster, and none of them has been back since.
If even one in three of those came back, at your average booster visit value of £74, that would be roughly £15,800 a year in visits, before any other treatment they might need while they’re with you.
Most of them were last seen by the same two vets, and almost none received a second reminder. A simple follow-up call from a nurse, aimed at this group first, might be a good place to start. I’d be happy to show you the list.”

Most of your 11% growth came from existing clients visiting more often, not from your price increase.

Price increase
“You mentioned the 11% rise in turnover was mostly down to January’s price increase. That’s part of it, but I don’t think it’s most of it. Here’s what i’ve found.”
As far as I can tell, identifiable price changes account for roughly 3% of those 11 percentage points. The larger share seems to come from existing clients visiting more often, especially Health Plan members, who are coming back noticeably more frequently than last year.
That’s rather good news. It suggests the growth may be more durable than a price rise alone, and it might be worth protecting your Health Plan renewals carefully.”

Dental bookings per week
“Dental bookings are up 58% since the campaign began. The uplift has been strongest in the weeks where the promotion ran.
When it paused for three weeks, bookings eased back, but stayed well above where they were before. That suggests it’s bringing in new dental patients, not just moving appointments around.
I’d be inclined to keep it running. It might be worth looking at whether your Health Plan members could be offered something similar too.”

And they’re much more likely to still be with you twelve months later.
“Here’s something interesting. Clients who see the same vet on consecutive visits spend about 35% more with you over a year than those who see a different vet each time, and they’re much more likely to still be with you twelve months later.
Continuity may simply suit some clients better, so I wouldn’t read too much into cause and effect. But it could be worth thinking about how appointments are booked for your regular clients.”
These examples are illustrative and don’t come from a real practice. Linda reports patterns and estimates from your data; she won’t pretend one thing definitely caused another.
Good advice without the hard work.
Linda isn’t there to bombard you with figures or tell you everything you’re doing wrong.
She’s there to help you run a more successful practice. To find opportunities, recognise what’s working and spot potential problems before they become expensive ones.
Each week’s briefing reads like a note from someone who has genuinely looked into your business: clear, thoughtful and to the point. And if you’d like to dig deeper, your online dashboard is always there.
“Think of her as a very good business adviser who does her homework before she talks to you.”

Demo data
Good morning, Helen. A steady week at Riverside, with two things I think you’ll like and one worth a closer look.
Going well
Dental bookings are up again, the fifth week running since the promotion began.
Opportunity
640 pets have missed their booster. Worth about £15,800 a year if a third return. I’ve put the list together.
Going well
Health Plan members are visiting more often than last year. Renewals look healthy.
Worth a closer look
Wednesday afternoons have had more cancellations than usual. It may just be half term, but I’ll keep an eye on it.

Your weekly briefing arrives.
The important findings, in plain English.

Questions you might have.
Is Linda easy to use?
Very. Once your PMS is connected, there is nothing else to set up. There are no reports to build and no need to be good with numbers. Linda explains what she’s found in plain English and tells you why it matters.
Which practice management systems does Linda work with?
At the moment, Linda works with Provet Cloud.
How much of my time will it take?
About as long as a coffee each week. Read your briefing, and look closer only when something interests you.
What does Linda actually do?
She studies the information already in your practice system, looks for opportunities, successes and warning signs, and explains them each week with suggestions worth considering. She works from your real data, but she doesn’t know everything about your business, so some findings are patterns or likely explanations rather than proof, and she’ll say so. She isn’t your accountant: without your cost data she won’t claim to know your true profit margins. She doesn’t make changes to your practice, and every decision stays with you. If you’d like a feel for how she thinks, “See Linda in action” shows a recorded demonstration.
